Unconventional Counsel

Unconventional counsel – ep 03

Unconventional counsel is episode 03

Unconventional counsel is the title of this podcast. It gives you a peek into my life outside of this website. In this situation, it falls into the same area that I’m an advocate for. The right of consenting adults to enjoy a sexual relationship regardless of existing kinship. Mainstream society has no business interfering in the private lives or in the bedrooms of sane and consenting adults.

The names have been changed, and I’m going to skim over the specifics, but you’ll still get a better idea of how I like to help people. So, without further ado, as I entered the cozy living room of my client’s home, I was greeted by the warm smiles of Mrs. Johnson and her 20-year-old son, Tom

They were both eager to start their journey towards consensual and loving sexual relationship.
One that society would deem repugnant, but one that I had advocated for in both my regular life and my practice as a relationship therapist. Thank you for reading with us, Mrs. Johnson said. Her eyes sparkling with anticipation. We’ve wanted this for so long, but we needed someone to guide us through it. Tom nodded in agreement, his gaze shy but determined, yeah, we’ve always had feelings for each other, but we don’t know how to make it work.

My smile reassuringly, taking a seat on their plush sofa. I understand your concerns.

Really? If you’ve seen my site, you know I truly understand where they’re coming from.
And I’m here to help. So let’s start by discussing your feelings, boundaries, and your worries.
We spent the next hour discussing their emotions, desires, and concerns. As a therapist and advocate for consenting adults to enjoy sexual relations, my goal was to create a safe space for them to explore their feelings without judgment.

My assistance was instrumental in taking them from that obvious physical tension and attraction into a realistic discussion of what that could mean to the relationship. Tom and Mrs. Johnson were both open and honest about their desires, and it was clear that their feelings for each other ran deep.

As their session progressed, the tension in the room grew palatable.

Actually, I think it was more excitement than tension. Tom’s eyes kept darting towards his mother’s lips, and she would blush in response. It was evident that the retraction was reaching its boiling point. Why don’t we take a break, I suggested standing up from my seat.

You both made a lot of progress today.
Let’s give you some time to process your personal reactions to the verbalization of each other’s feelings.

Mrs. Johnson smelled gratefully, and Tom nodded in agreement.
They walked me to the door, thinking me for my guidance, and as I turned to leave, I noticed Tom’s hand, brushing against his mother’s thigh, sending shivers down her spine.
In that moment, I knew their journey was just beginning.

As their psychologist, it was my duty to ensure that they navigated this uncharted path with care and respect. And so I quietly left the premises, consent and the knowledge that it helped them take their first steps towards a loving and consensual relationship.

As I left the Johnson’s home, my mind raced with thoughts of their unconventional relationship.
It was not my first time counseling clients interested in consensual family intimacy. But there was something about Tom and Mrs. Johnson that resonated deep within me. “This is what unconventional counsel looks like”
